5 day countdown till THE BLAK \ DESIGNMART...get ready!!! This is the REAL reason why you been putting off your holiday shopping...any last minute shopping should be saved for THIS out of the world expereince!

We're so thrilled to be on Sight Unseen's UP & COMING column!! SU is hands down one of our fav design blogs! Bith Jill & Monica has such a keen eye in spotting the current & upcoing trends whether it be art, craft or design.
For the column, Monica asked us quite a few hard hitting questions about L&G over the phone and patiently listened to us as Dylan & I struggled to sound like we know what we're doing. This is probably one of the most in-depth interviews we've done thus far and we learned more about oursevels more than ever!
We shared all sorts of things about ourselves such as how we met & started, where we find our inspirations, who our design hero is, things we created as a kid, things we have around our house, and how somtimes people think we're an escort service....which in all honesty, we probably would be financially better off if we had taken that route. :P
We're so happy that we've came this far to be on Sight Unseen!
Also here are some photo outtake:
Our design hero, Enzo Mari.
Inspirational findings whenever we go on nature walks.
Our collection of vintage houseware on our kitchen shelves.
Our collection of thrifted glass jars we've collected over the years.
Jean's collection of random office supplies in the office.
Some of our best thrifted finds in our living room: Knoll couch, Hans Wagner rocking chairs, unknown vintage woven rugs, and the jade plant.
Thanks Jill & Monica! XOXO

This THURSDAY ( if you're in Seattle) come visit Dylan & I at the FRYE's Meet the Makers happy hour this from 4pm-7pm!
Come hang out with us, enjoy some champagne & treats, and come see or make some special ornaments with us!
If you haven't visited the Frye already, here's the perfect excuse to also come check out Frye's current exhibhit (FREE!) and their newly revamped museum OBJECT store cruated by our talented friend Charlie Scuck!
See you there!
I had a vision in the middle of the night for a new L&G letterhead mailer that's an all-in-one letter + envelope. Talk about going down the memory lane of passing notes during grade school!
Loved & Found / Dutch Magazine / Featured Work: Salt & Pepper Paws.
Anthology just launched their lovely online Holiday issue and we're excited to be one of the contributers for them for the first time!!
For this issue, Meg (the editor) asked us to make a special holiday wreath for the "Holiday Hang Ups!" (pg 43) section featuring various handmade wreaths! I never make one before and thought "OK, why not!"
My vision was to make something that's simple, not too holiday-ey but still warm & cozy all at the same time. I was a bit worried that it would look too boring....but thanks to Anthology team who styled & shot everything so well that they made it feel extra nice & festive!
Check out the rest of the Holiday issue and get in on the festivities!
Here's our Superior Servers in RealSimple's roundup of serving utensils.
AND our servers is also featured in November issue of ALASKA AIRLINE magazine (pg76)!!....oh how I love flying on Alaska Air especially on their small jets (i.e. Seattle to Portland) where I get to down a glass of complimentary wine in 15min. It's awesome....
And through FAB, our chalk piggy bank also made it into NY Post's holiday gift guide...along with the insanely famous FURBY and NIKKI MANAJ..... perfume. No joke. Here's the printed version...and be prepared to be blown away by this collection!!!
This season, L&G teamed up with some of our JOIN friends, Grain and Iacoli & McAllister to test this concept of putting together a a micro catalog of gift ideas.
We were lucky to have our friend, Charlie Schuck photograph our products while I styled everything....which I'm starting to realize the whole process of styling products can really satisfy my natural OCD tendencies of arranging/rearranging things!
Check out the full catalog below. Clicking on the actual products on the image in the catalog to get directly to the product page.

Something awesome is brewing at the Frye Art Museum. Charlie Schuck at Object totally transformed the museum shop with works from 50+ local designers and artists, and we're excited to be part of it all!
We're also working with Charlie & The Frye on some winter events which will coincide with Frye's current exhibit, Moment Magnitude-A cross-platform project of visual art, performances, readings, concerts, dance, rehearsals, and specially designed arts engagement programs.
The Frye is hands down one of our favorite 'secret' Seattle spots. It's beautifully understated and tucked away on First Hill with a great mix of traditional & contemporary artwork...and on top of it all, its free! Every time we go, we're always amazed by the place.
The shop & exhibit will be up through Mid-January, so go check it out!

I had a total blast helping Meg set up the show for her book launching party at Rare Device for Crafting a Meaningful Home! Meg & Kate had the idea to cover up the gallery area in the shop with all cardboard sheets. We were cutting, glue, stapling cardboard sheets like mad. It totally felt like school again....ooh how I miss that adrenalin rush fearing that things aren't not gonna turn out or that we'd have enough time to finish.... and the delirious feeling from working so intensely and then have anxiety dreams the very night. Oh! How I miss all that!
Perhaps that's the workaholic side of me talking....
But to be honest, there IS something fun about working with bunch people and doing hands on work like that! We managed to pull it off in 2 days and even sucked my cousin in to help! Thanks cuz! :D
Here's what the cardboard covered space looked like after we finished! They even made cardboard side tables, mantles, coffee cups and a typewriter! Super cute!
Below are the projects displayed from the book:
From Left to right: Wood Burned Family Crest by Chika Eustace & I / Vintage Fabric Display by Cathy Callahan / Rockite Bottle Vases by Anna Corpron & Sean Auyeung / Locker Hook Rug by Christine Schmidt / Family Banner by Samantha Hahn / Family Teepee by Billie Lopez & Tootie Maldonado.

Bottom center: Rena Tom who runs Rare Device with Lisa Congdon. Bottom Right: Lorena of Petit Collage's little one doing what I was doing....hovering over the food table with food shoved in my mouth.
Here's me by my (mini version of) Mega-Doily rug...I had to make a smaller one so it'd fit the space better. And if I may say so myself... I think the mini version actually looks pretty cute!! :)
