This 2014 Holiday season will be our busiest season yet! Here's our epic lineup of holiday events & shows for 2014!

We can't be more excited to be part of all these great curated group events around Seattle, NYC and Miami! Go check out these events and support other local designers/makers like us! This is the time of the year where all us makers/designers will do whatever it takes to make sure that everyone has something special they can give to their loved ones. It means more to us than anything else to see the goods we design & make with our hands can bring all sorts of smiles, hugs & kisses to countless people on every holiday season.

L&G Studio at SuperPAC / Westedge Design Fair OCT 14-19

We're excited to share that we're part of a group design show called SuperPAC, curated by Jaime Derringer (editor of Design Milk) during Westedge Design Fair in Santa Monica from OCT 14th-19th.

Jaime hand picked 15+ design studios along the west coast from Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, down to Los Angeles and we couldn't be happier to be part of it!

Back for our third year with Sight Unseen, we'll be debuting our latest collection of lighting and tabletop items. The collection features our recent collaboration with artist John Hogan: a modular lighting system with hand-blown glass geometries along with table top optical illuminations in solid glass.

Douglas + Bec's New Store in Australia

One of our favorite store and stockist, Douglas + Bec , just recently opened their beautiful new store in Melbourne, Australia! This is the first store that has the most comprehensive representation of our work. I nearly cried when I saw these photos of their amazing store AND with all our pieces so well displayed amongst all these other coveted design pieces.

Its rare that we ourselves get to see that many pieces of our own work shown in such a nice context, so we feel extremely lucky that D+B is so supportive of our work and studio especially coming all the way from New Zeland & Australia! .

Wind Chime Collaboration Pre-Sale!

We're just a day away from tomorrow's Reclaim NYC x 2 opening party! But check out the online pre-sale first and to get first dibs!

We couldn't be happier with the result of these wind chimes in collaboration with Nicholas Nyland! Nicholas made some really special ceramic chime pieces with various shapes, textures, and glazes. So every chime is one-of-a-kind!

Below are some of process late night shots and the finished chimes!

We'll also have a whole array of chimes for sale at Noho Next in these 3 styles amongst our Aura lights! The chime ranges from $95-$175

We will eventually put them on our website for sale, but for now, you'll have to come see/shop them in person...and come say hello!

L&G is proud to introduce two entirely new collections debuting at the upcoming NYC x Design week starting May 17-20th.

MIRAGE- A collection of optic-bending furniture from shelves to tables.

MARU- A collection of lighting and accessories that explores the functional and aesthetic versatility of mix materials in all types of circular forms.

For the past month, we've been practically running on non-stop adrenaline straddling between excitement, caffeine, and sleep deprivation while gearing up to launch 2 collections, 7 new products, at 5 venues during NYC x Design 2013!

For the past month, we've been practically running on non-stop adrenaline straddling between excitement, caffeine, and sleep deprivation while gearing up to launch 2 collections, 7 new products, at 5 venues during NYC x Design 2013!

Here are the list of events that we'll be part of!

1. NOHO NEXT 2013 (we will be there, so come say hello!) @ Subculture, 45 Bleecker Street; May 17–20, 12pm to 7pm. Dylan & I will be there in person while exhibiting our brand new collections Mirage & Maru- a series of work from furniture, lighting, to small home accessories.

2. AmDC’s TROPHY @ Underground at The Standard, East Village Hotel, 25 Cooper Square; May 17–20 / 12pm to 7pm. We'll be exhibiting our special mirage shelves.

3. RECLAIM x 2 @ 446 Broadway, 3rd Floor; Thursday, May 16, 2013 / 7pm- 11pm. We've donated special one-off editions of L&G wind chimes made in collaboration with artist Nicholas Nyland for Reclaim's second charity sale.

4. STDARD SOCKET @ Wanted Design- 269 11th Avenue; May 18th-20th / 10am-7pm. Our ‘Full Turn’ lighting will be displayed as part of Standard Socket’s inaugural lighting collection.

5. STORY @ 144 10th Ave; May 1st-May 30th / 11-7pm. We're part of STORY's ever changing retail concept store offering some small gift & home goods at their current [DESIGN] theme popup shop.

New Collaboration Brewing

We're really excited to be working with our dear friend/artist, Nicholas Nyland in creating a whole collection of wind chimes which we'll launch in mid-May!

We've been posting some process shots on our EXPLORATION page and we'll be sharing them next week and will be exhibiting them at New York Designweek along with other new works from MAY 17-20 at Reclaim NYC and Noho Design District. (Details TBA)

We've been a long-time fan of Nicholas' work and been wanting to work with him for years now! We love his fun & uninhibited way wanting to work with him for years now! We love his uninhibited ceramic pieces and his use of fun colors and textures.

Needless to say it's going to be an exciting collaboration and we think it'll yield a really interesting result contrasted with our simple forms and material pallet!

Every year, we tell ourselves that we need to prepare early since this is always our busiest time of the year. But of course, no matter how much we think we prepared ourselves....we still end up working late hours and feeling sleep deprived for the majority of the time.

....And this holiday especially seemed extra actioned packed.

We're totally stoked to get orders from some of our favorite shops from all over!

Besides cranking out orders for all those awesome stores, we also couldn't help ourselves from other fun happenings/events in Seattle! Here are some photo documentation below taken from our Instagram.

We made a fun lookbook along with our Seattle friends from Grain and Iacoli & McAllister.

We did a Himmeli ornament workshop at the Meet The Makers event at the Frye.

We designed and made our own special L&G letterhead that folds into an envelope!

And finally, we organized and put together The BLAK design popup the last weekend before Christmas at Caffe Vita!

There's still so much I need to blog about, but needless to say, we're just happy that we made it through the holidays!

Now it's time to unwindulax!
