Check out these great photos from AmDC's exhibit in a beautiful old Italian courtyard. Talk about a dramatic setting!

We've been hoping to get our products in Anthropologie for awhile now...but so far we've only had some loose email correspondence that've yet mound to anything....
But this last winter out of the blue, one of the the buyers from Terrain (with great home & garden goods) contacted us about making custom servers for them!
Then a month later, another buyer from BHLDN (with beautiful wedding things of all sorts) contacted us about making more custom cake servers, too!
Not only are both of these shops great, they're also under the same umbrella of Anthro & Urban Outfitters!
We feel like we're just one step away from getting something in Anthropologie! Let's hope that next step will happen in the near future!
Here's our Superior Servers in RealSimple's roundup of serving utensils.
AND our servers is also featured in November issue of ALASKA AIRLINE magazine (pg76)!!....oh how I love flying on Alaska Air especially on their small jets (i.e. Seattle to Portland) where I get to down a glass of complimentary wine in 15min. It's awesome....
And through FAB, our chalk piggy bank also made it into NY Post's holiday gift guide...along with the insanely famous FURBY and NIKKI MANAJ..... perfume. No joke. Here's the printed version...and be prepared to be blown away by this collection!!!
Just added a whole new batch of perfect holiday vintage Superior Cake Servers in the shop! Get em' while they last! They're selling like hotcakes....cuz you know...to serve hotcakes and such! :D
We've been lucky to know the awesome people behind the American Design Club since we started showing at the NYIGF back in 2010. We all seem like such babies back then....and boy have we all came a long way!!
Especially for AmDC, they've now established themselves as one of the main portal for many of the talented up & coming American desginers to be part of the greater design community.
Besides organizing & curating various design shows, they've just recently launched their online shop just to kick things up a notch!
And already...they got this great mention on the NYT online....with our servers in there, too!!!
....AND printed in the real deal!
Anthology's winter gift guide is available online!
It's a beautiful compilation of all the wonderful festive parts of the holidays.
Our special holiday server set is in there, so look for them and get a special discount!
Also this recipe video of making mulled cider by Tiger in Jar is absolutely lovely and is totally making me even more excited about the holidays! And if you like it spiked, I recommend adding honey whiskey or bourbon!

Totally stoked that our Superior Servers got some attention along with Be-YON-ce~ in the Fall issue of InStyle that weighs at least 5lb.
Although a little dissapointed that we didn't get a 8 page spread of us in fancy glam outfits nor an interview about my perspective on success, love & family like I thought we'd get...we're still pretty darn happy that our feature is at the back end of Beyonce! Hell yes.
Then us in Bon Appetit!
Just look at the juicy cover....Me huuuungry....
Then I spotted us in Small Magazine by accident! I'm totally excited when I saw this since I love looking at everything in there with their cute kids and cute photoshoots, clothes and everything! Something about things, people, and animals in smaller forms that simply makes them automatically cuter....except baby insects & reptiles....eew, gross.
I especially love the wooden poached egg!
We're excited when we first read about this new shop in Portland called Woonwinkel (means Home Shop in Dutch) that opened in June.
What's even more exciting is that our Chalk Piggies, Gem Necklaces, Superior Servers, and Mega-Doily rugs of various size are at the store!
It's a beautifully curated shop with things I've only seen from the far and magical place of the Netherlands combined with some great designers we totally love such as, Studio Gorm, Iacoli & McAllister, Von Tundra, and Chen Chen.
....pretty much a dream store. Perhaps if I make myself look small enough I can be a squatter and live in that shop....
We can't believe it's already been a WHOLE year since we debut our work at the NYIGF last year...the year went by super fast and we don't really remember what really happened...but all I can say is that this whole experience of having our own studio so far has been more than amazing, and it's been reassuring for us that we can actually make it work!
...and in finding the need to give ourselves a little pat on our backs, we decided to celebrate a little by getting a cake!
Man...how I love that I can write off things like this as an business expense!
We even used the cake to shoot along with our new items that we'll be bring to the NYIGF this August: New pastel Superior server colors, Vintage Superior cake servers, ceramic Salt & Pepper Pawz, and Terracotta Piggy banks!
So yeah...It's been a crazy year where it felt like so much has happened yet I can barely remember it all. Does that make sense?....and is that normal?
I think perhaps it's the fact that we're still learning the art of juggling everything and learning how to be our own bosses...and do everything else...to be a designer, product developer, maker, project manager, blogger, photographer, sales rep, accountant, PR, creative director, packer, shipper, and the person to wash dishes, etc.
Less assure you that i'm NOT trying to brag....seriously...
Nonetheless, we're still totally psyched for this August NYIGF where 8 of us design studios under JOIN will be next to other talented peeps from American Design Club and “A+: The Young Designers’ Platform.” We'll all going to join forces and showcase our work outside the entrance to Accent on Design in the lobby area.
Yes...nothing like partying in the lobby at the Javits Convention Center!! Woot woot!
Check out what everyone gots to bring!

We love Ryan & Alissa from one of our favorite online shop, Horne, who also carries our Superior Servers on their shop!
We couldn't be more thrilled, when Ryan asked me to write something for their Behind The Bar column for Design* Sponge.
I've always loved having picnics (especially an impromptu picnic that I did for this post!). And lately I've been really into using cucumbers...even just in water! So I came up with the this Summer Cucumber Lemon Vodka drink! You can read the entire post HERE.
The best part of doing all this was that after taking the photos, Dylan & I got to enjoy the drinks with some friends for a real picnic!
Yah....work is rough.....
Have a great weekend!!
We're so excited that we're getting some International press attention!
Our Superior Server Spoon in Annebelle : A Swiss Women's magazine with a great mix of fashion, design, art, current events and politics?...WHAT? I thoughts its women only likes to read about fashion, , shopping & celebrities' tips on success, their favorite food, and their most embarrassing moments! I just love reading those insignificant stories that makes them seem more human...
Our Mega-Doily rug in Mollie Makes : An UK Craft Magazine recently launched earlier this Summer. The magazine is filled with everything that makes me smile. With bunch of how-to super adorable DIY projects and features of artist/crafters from all around the world.
Weee~We're on a recent post on AP!! So colorful & cheerful!!

So we got some DOUBLE exciting news for L&G and for us!
We currently have some L&G goodies & hand selected vintage items at our friends' shop in Japan called Depot Cycle & Recycle. It's a charming family run bike & lifestyle shop in Ichikawa owned by THE MOST adorable, loving, & happy people we know!!For the past month, We've been sending some fun things from L&G, R&L goods, and Piano Nobile goodies for their house & lifestyle area of the shop. They just sent me the photo of what it looks like and I'm already in love with all the things, the colors, and just the charming aesthetic of their shop!! I Especially love all these beautifully made ceramic ware.
Here is a photo of the lovely Minato Family. Seiya & Mami & their 3 adorable kids, Aika, Yume and Yuni!! ( I'd like to adopt all of them....yes please...) This is pretty much what they look like ALL the time....always happy and adorable....no joke.
The Minato family visited us in Seattle last summer at our duplex and between Dylan, Chika, Jared and I, we had such a blast with them hanging out around Seattle, Ballard and Guemes Island to show them the great NW.
It was especially fun experiencing everything through their eyes since pretty much wherever they go...birds would sing, people would smile, flowers would bloom, babies would laugh, and even total strangers would go up and talked to them and be compelled to be their BFFs...
It sounds like I'm making it up...but I am not exaggerating.
So in about a week, Dylan & I are actually going to Japan to visit them!!
We'll actually get to really see and experience what its really like to live like one of the happy Minatos!
We're especially excited to see Seiya & Mami shop in person and see L & G piggy banks, servers, and doily rugs!
I made couple of Mini-Mega Doilies (One 2.5 ft diameter and the other is 2ft diameter) for them since their space is limited, but I also think they might actually do well at that size in Japan since it can also be used seating pads for the floor or on a chair....I hope they do well!At that size... it's actually pretty cute if I may say so myself! :)
I also made a little sewn look book for them of our work. There's something so satisfying about the combination of thread & paper...
Here's what the inside looks like...I can't explain how excited to see them & also visit Japan!! I'm getting butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it!
It's been a LONG time (7 years!) for me since I was last in Japan studying abroad there, and Dylan on the other hand has never been!
We've been talking about it for couple of years now, and it's also been a long time since the two of us have taken a long personal vacation that's not family or work related!
So it's about time!
....now on with planning the trip......Oh boy!! Where do we even begin or stop!?!
Both our servers & piggy bank got on Azure!! We were SUPER stoked to see that!
on SVPPLY....that site is absolutely dangerous since I get totally sucked into it too easily.
Servers on Poppytalk. Thanks Jan!

A random mix of things...our piggy partying it up with some sexy lingerie and leopard printed wellies on Josie Natori.
I really hope the piggies don't turn all B.Spear or P.Hilton on me....
We know that the winter holiday has just past...but this also means its time to launch some new items for 2011 Spring/Summer! I know I'm ready for it!
here's a quick intro of our new additions:
