I spotted the two mustache gentlemen I sold in their new home on flickr! I sold these awhile back to Christine at Jackrabbit.

I just love seeing where things end up and how people incorporate it in their space! It makes me so happy to see my findings in a nice home like Christine's. Yay!

Today we get to see the new home for Mr. Blue Roly-poly Mushroom! He looks very happy and radiant with all the bright colorful surroundings in his new home. Especially next to Ilee's letterpress calendar, which I have one myself as well and I absolutely adore her work! (She's based in Seattle, too!) Melissa has a collection of all sorts of mushrooms. So I'm sure Mr. Mushroom feels right at home!

This is Yvonne's neatly arranged collection of Kokeshi dolls from Japan. I'm starting to collect these as well. The art behind making these precious Kokeshi dolls is beyond amazing. Most dolls are traditional and folk-like, but there are some dolls that are very refined and modern. They use simple painted lines to indicate their facial expression and personality. They also many times incorporate unconventional natural material such as straw, walnut shells, twigs, sea shells, clam shells and all sorts of other thing as their body parts. It comes in all shape, size, and form, and they're all very animated and adorable.

Wooden building blocks + Painted white plastic animals

Why building blocks?? I've always been obsessed with wood things and toys, and those two things combined makes me very happy....VERY happy...as if I'm a kid again. I can be happy with these simple basic toys. So happy that I don't even care whether I have a Wii, the Harry Potter Lego set, or the newest Bratz dolls (those things are absolutely appalling in every way)...what can I say....I'm a simple person who appreciates simple wooden toys.

So it won't just be about me anymore....thank goodness, because I'm starting to run out of materials!...that's actually a lie, because I can always talk about food!

Dylan and I would like to invite L&G shoppers from all around the world to participate in a little project we came up with....
At Ladies and Gentlemen we do it because we believe in the longevity of objects. We hand pick each items because we believe that each object deserves a good owner who can appreciate its character, charm, and history.
So our goal with Proj. ‘Lost & Found by you’ is to celebrate this cycle of turning abandoned objects into found treasures by involving everyone to document the objects in their surroundings and write a short blurb about why they've chosen that particular item and how they're incorporating it into their lives.
We hope that people will get involved and will find it interesting to read the stories and see the growing list about each object from everyone.
