As you may know... I have a thing for Blocs, wood and leather.... when I saw these amazing bags from Building Block I could barely keep my compsure looking at everything this power sister team design & makes. They would be the one reason that I'll end ever up become a crazy purse lady!

I first saw some pieces from her brand Black Crane at Mohawk General Store (my new fav shop in LA) and wished I had splurged on one of her beautiful Japanese dyed shirts. (below)

Even though its the Spring/Summer collection, most of the pieces can totally be worn all year round....or even year after year with such classic timeless look.

've been MORE than obsessed with Annie Larson's knit brand, All Knitwear, for a long time now...and it's seriously amazing how she knits everything with a knitting machine. I totally get lost in time between looking at her blog with great photos of her space & process & her shop with all the fantastic wearables. Her sense of color & pattern and the way she puts it all together is simply beyond fantastic!
....and with Seattle's weather being so stupid cold & wet...I'm seriously considering getting these knitted sweater leggings! Just look how happy Annie is wearing that! I just love that photo.

They offer bunch of more than stylish pieces in DIY kits including yarn, kitting needles, instructions, and all the coolness you'll ever need. And especially seeing their clean & cool branding designed by Be-Poles...it's just so hard to resist!
This is a perfect project for the winter and reason to stay cozy at home, knit, and drink some (or a lot) spiced wine! But of course if you want more of an instant gratification, they also have already made pieces you can just purchase! What bunch of smarty-pants they are!

Founded by these two young 25 year old gals living in Brooklyn. Sort of makes me wonder what I did when I was 25. Even though it was only 3 years ago, but for some reason I don't even recall much...what did I do?....thinking...thinking....oh, yeah! I do remember that I didn't do any of this business making, New York living, and designing a whole line of awesome & versatile shoes. Now its all coming back...Yeah, being 25 was pretty awesome.
Now I just gotta get a pair (or several) of these to make myself feel better. I can't choose between these two styles...and the colors....all so nieeeece.....I want to wear them through the summer and beyond....
This Humorous and mind blowing collection by conceptual Japanese fashion designer Kunihiko Morinaga (better known as ANREALAGE) – debuted his 2010-11 Autumn/Winter collection in Tokyo last month.
This brilliant collection, "WIDESHORTSLIMLONG" makes you think you're looking at some poorly photoshoped photos while in reality Morinaga had physically distorted every proportion and size by stretching and squishing every detail down to the actual pieces, the pattern, the maniquins, the labels, and even the hangers!
" For this particular collection, which comprises everything from t-shirts and jeans to dresses and pants, the designer worked with 2 spokes; a wide-short spoke and a slim-long spoke. The wide-short distorts the average height of a Japanese person by 250% (width) and 70% (length), while the slim-long distorts by 80% (width) and 150% (length)."
I was getting dizzy looking at all the photos....but still amazed by it all!
I especially love how each pieces translates on to a "normal" manikin where the two proportions creates such different look and feel! Doesn't the Burberry-style plaid jacket in wide & stout version look so fabulous & chic?!

This is something I just stumbled upon..it's from 2009, but still pretty freakin' amazing!
This whole line designed by Alexandra Verschueren reminds me everything great and fun about elementary school. You know...doodling with color pencils and folding & cutting with paper using mix array of line papers...all the things I love to do at school!
Except all these pieces are simply stunning and are WAY more amazing than your typical school craft project covered in Elmer's glue..at least mine was like that!
I especially love seeing the stylized sketches and swatch boards... 
I'm obsessed with general office & school supplies...and I'm especially drawn to the graphic quality of grid & line paper of all sort. So I think it's freakin' brilliant that Verschueren has turned such ubiquitous graphic into high-end textile prints...and on top of that with all the added colorful hand drawn/hand painted texture!
....It's all just too cool for school.
I'd like to wear this and do my weekend produce shopping at the farmer's market with it...or just wear it everywhere.
Perhaps I'll finally get some respect around here...

Chika recently informed me about this little delightful blogger, Tavi Gevinson....
This is one of them successful blogger-stories you wished you never heard....Like everyone else, Tavi started a blog, Style Rookie, about something she's passionate about..in this case, it's fashion. Tavi shares her own thoughts, inspirations, and fashion sense. Her readership grew and grew and now have gotten a whole world following her and is now consider a fashion trend setter...the twist? She only 13 years old!!
Her success has allowed her to travel to Paris & NYC fashion week, watched numerous runway shows, gotten to meet big name designer and has even inspired them to create clothes based on her style......pretty much she's making the the whole fashion industry go crazy over her.
I'm going crazy already...feeling crazy lame that is...
But seriously though....she's pretty amazing.
Everything about her style is so uninhibited that's truly inspiring and refreshing to see. I especially love how she mixes extreme high-end fashion pieces with ripped up mix-matched tights, and shoes from the thrift stores. She layers and creates color pallets that are beyond predictable and is anything but horrific. 
There's really no one style that can sum up what she's all about. She's sort of like an adorable French kid wearing classy grandma's clothes...or a cute little spunky Japanese kid from Harajuku with an American twist...or an edgy androgynous modern avant-garde adult inside a 13 year old body...or a nerdy hipster who wears 80's/early 90's vintage clothes as if she lived through that period and is also nostalgic of the ghetto blast ...She's all of the above!
It's almost like....she's a trash compacter, but for all fashion styles....she's a fashion compacter!
In any case....She's got the talent..and is using it well.

Well...guess what Tavi?? You're not gonna bring me down! You're just a KID! You can't even drive and you still need your MOMMY to drop you off at all those "parties" in NY and then have to get her to pick you up before night night at 9pm so she can tuck you in...I mean...talk about embarrassing!! Plus you don't even have a high school diploma OR a college degree....so good luck getting a REAL job in the REAL WORLD! HA!
